Gary Thorberg and the MinnYaks Team will be exhibiting the world’s best fishing kayak at the 80th Annual Northwest Sportshow, March 28-April 1st, in Minneapolis Minnesota.

When it comes to fishing from boats, Gary knows what he’s talking about:

-”Being a native Minnesotan, I was exposed to boating and fishing at an early age. My first experience sailing was at age 8, and it has been my passion ever since. I have captained many a charter on large catamarans in the Caribbean. Fishing has also been a large part of my life. I lived in the Florida Keys for a while, where I was a commercial fisherman and diver. Our families are fortunate to have owned lake cabins in northern Minnesota for 50 years, so fresh water fishing and boating is also in my blood. Many boats have come and gone in my life, and I am so very pleased to have added the W500 to my fleet. It possibly will be the last boat I will own (unless I buy another W500 for my wife!).”

New Fishing Kayak Dealership In Palm Coast, Florida

Palm Coast is located about 65 miles south of Jacksonville, the world’s capital of kayak fishing, and host of the Jacksonville Classic, which is still the world’s biggest kayak fishing event, worldwide.

Back in 2009, Gene Andrews was one of the first to order the a W500 fishing kayak for himself.
After two and a half years of great fishing with it, and no yak back at all, Gene realized he could resell these fishing kayaks in Northeastern Florida, and he became a dealer for Wavewalk.

Good news for Floridian kayakers and anglers:
Jeff Taubes, founder of Florida Fishing Kayaks, is the new local dealer for W kayaks in southwest Florida. Says Jeff:
-”I love to fish and have been doing it since I was a child. I had considered purchasing a boat but the cost of ownership and maintenance had kept me from making the leap. The next best thing for me was a fishing kayak. After my first experience of actually fishing in a kayak I realized that the awkward position and subsequent sore back made it much less enjoyable than I was hoping for. Ohio and Pennsylvania on the Kayak Fishing Map

It often happens that a kayak angler who’s interested in seeing a W fishing kayak before buying one is prevented from doing so, because there’s no local dealer for Wavewalk anywhere nearby.
Until recently, these advanced fishing kayaks nicknamed W were sold by Wavewalk only factory direct. Since then the company has begun recruiting local dealers, and interestingly, they sell only the W brand.
Wavewalk has dealers neither in Ohio nor in Pennsylvania, yet. However, starting now, it makes the W fishing kayak available for anglers to see before they buy in two new locations:
The W500 is available for people to see in Kent, Ohio, not very far from Akron, in the northeastern part of the state.
In Pennsylvania, the W500 is on display in New Berlin, in the central part of the state.

Third W Fishing Kayaks Dealership in Texas

Texas Fishing Kayaks, founded by Glynn Gantenbein, an avid fly fisherman from Salado, in Central Texas, is Wavewalk’s third dealership in the Lone Star State.

Salado is locate 50 miles north of Austin, on the I-35.
